The story began when we received this question:
‘I’d like to ask whether you could make a festive set of 90 Sotukai for a 90th birthday. Could you deliver such a gift to the person’s home? The birthday celebrant has a very sweet tooth. And enjoying sweet treats healthily is best.’
Inspired by that trust and the responsibility of contributing to such a celebration, we looked for a solution.
Making them was the easy part. But how could we package all 90 Sotukai together, in a container that would be easy to open and close every day and keep in the fridge? And make it look beautiful too!
After many attempts, we realised that beauty lies in simplicity.
Of course, the gift was delivered straight into the birthday celebrant’s hands!
