Let me introduce one of the most important Sotukai ingredients: Lithuanian berry and fruit powders from Urbanfood.
I discovered these powders several years ago and used them to enrich breakfast smoothies and add flavour to desserts. This is an incredibly valuable product: 1 teaspoon provides as many valuable vitamins, minerals and fibre as 100 grams of the fresh product. Natural flavour, colour and aroma are guaranteed too, of course.
One of the reasons Sotukai came into being was a wish to make a convenient, tasty family snack containing as many health-friendly ingredients as possible. It had to be a non-perishable snack that was convenient for travelling. With Urbanfood powders at hand, my experiments produced the first plant-based balls in different flavours and colours.
I currently use blackcurrant, raspberry, sea buckthorn and quince powders to make Sotukai. But chokeberries, rosehips and cranberries are already waiting on the shelf for future experiments.
Of course, I am delighted that both Urbanfood and Sotukai products carry the Keyhole symbol for health-friendly food.
I wish you happy tasting, experimenting and good health!
